The Idaho War Veteran's Emergency Grant is designed to aid qualified individuals in line with Idaho Code, IDAPA 21 Title 01 Chapter 2, enabling them to buy essential items during temporary emergencies. To qualify, applicants must have served in wartime under honorable conditions for a minimum of 90 days, be a genuine resident of Idaho, have lived in the state during their wartime service or for at least the last five years, and have experienced a catastrophic event or disability in the past 90 days that led to job loss. Eligible applicants include veterans, surviving spouses, or dependent children. This grant represents the sole financial assistance offered by the Division, with specific qualifications established by the Idaho Legislature. Additionally, a comprehensive referral service is available to provide veterans with up-to-date information regarding various veterans' benefits and entitlements, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with messages accepted 24/7. Services are provided in English.
