About this resource

Households are permitted to visit the food pantry once every 60 days. The food boxes generally provide enough supplies for 2-4 days. In the spring, there may be limited availability of garden seeds. The contents of food boxes can differ based on donations and the location of the pantry. To obtain a food box, clients must qualify and enroll in our CSBG program, which can be done at any of our four offices. Clients will need to provide demographic details about themselves and their household members, but no identification or income verification is necessary to receive a food box. Additionally, USDA Commodities, which are essential pantry items, are offered through our TEFAP program and can be accessed once a month at various distribution sites in the Treasure Valley. For specific distribution dates and times, please call (208) 377-0700. Commodities are available at all El-Ada locations. To receive these commodities, clients must also qualify and be enrolled in our TEFAP program, where they will need to provide demographic information and sign an eligibility form, with no ID or income verification required. Languages offered include English. Intake Procedure: Please call for further information on intake processes.
