Idaho State Correctional Institution (Isci)

ISCI stands as the department's oldest and most extensive state-operated facility, with a capacity to house 1688 offenders. It serves primarily as a long-term institution for male offenders classified under medium custody. Additionally, ISCI features specialized beds for medical care, outpatient mental health services, and geriatric offenders. The facility is secured by a double fence and monitored by sentry dogs, along with seven towers that oversee perimeter security and offender movements. Its infrastructure includes a chapel, recreation center, educational facilities, a large correctional industries operation, and a medical clinic.
