Treasure Valley Community Re-Entry Center

The South Idaho Correctional Institution Community Work Center, which opened in August 2004, can house up to 100 male offenders designated as minimum and community custody. In June 2009, a new building was introduced for classrooms, administrative offices, visiting areas, and housing for inmates close to release. The leadership at the facility aligns with the IDOC's mission to ensure safety, accountability, partnerships, and opportunities for offender rehabilitation. Offenders benefit from community-based employment, treatment programs, support groups, and community service, all aimed at fostering a successful transition back into society. While residing at the facility, these individuals are permitted to work outside, which aids in their preparation while maintaining community safety through strict supervision and accountability.
