The initiative focuses on leadership and advocacy for older Idahoans, overseeing federally and state-funded programs that assist them in maintaining their independence, safety, and dignity. **PROGRAMS AND SERVICES:** **Adult Protection - Investigation and legal aid.** **Family Caregiver Support Program - Provides assistance, information, respite, support, and supplemental services.** **In-Home Services - Includes case management, homemaker services, home-delivered meals, and caregiver respite.** **Medicare Education - Offers guidance on Medicare and helps resolve billing issues.** **Nutrition Services - Features a directory of Senior Centers, home-delivered meals, congregate meals, education, and counseling.** **Ombudsmen - Serve as advocates for the elderly in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.** **Support Services - Includes information and assistance, outreach, transportation, and adult day care.** **KinCare Coalition - Supports grandparents and other adults who care for children during the temporary or permanent absence of parents.** **Assistive Technology - Provides storage for the Equipment Reutilization Program.** The Idaho Commission on Aging oversees contracts with Area Agency on Aging offices.
