About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program assesses and investigates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, suitable services are offered to address family needs. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It also assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Children and Family Services Program. Services are available in English.
