The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support, along with information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program offers early intervention for children from birth to age three with developmental delays, providing various therapeutic, educational, and supportive services at no cost to families. This program also aids in transitioning services to school districts when children turn three. Additionally, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers support to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The program is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed. Intake is initiated by calling for an evaluation.
