The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides essential services tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support, along with information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program offers early intervention for children from birth to three years who exhibit developmental delays, supplying a range of therapeutic, educational, and supportive services at no cost to families. This program also aids in transitioning services to school districts when children turn three. Additionally, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and can access interpreters when needed.
