Family Directed Services - Region 6

The Childrens System Redesign seeks to establish a care framework that provides an improved selection of Medicaid benefits for children with developmental disabilities. These benefits are tailored to the unique requirements of each child and encompass various interventions, support services, and collaborative efforts. The redesigned system focuses on evidence-based treatment practices, fostering community inclusion, and empowering families. The Idaho Legislature approved the Childrens Redesign Rules in early February 2011, and the transition to these new benefits will occur gradually, starting on July 1, 2011, with children being integrated into the new system based on their birth dates.
