The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, suitable services are offered to meet family needs. This program evaluates and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve reviewing the circumstances of family members and/or the child in question. It assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program oversees the licensing of child care facilities and foster homes, as well as offering some adoption services.
