The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program delivers early intervention services aimed at helping families support their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in assisting children in learning to communicate, move, think, eat, and engage more fully in their family's daily routines. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
