The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, and shares information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their full potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. The program operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children develop communication, movement, cognitive skills, feeding, and engagement in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services manages the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
