The Regional Children and Family Services Program reviews and assesses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to address family requirements. This Program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the child who has been harmed. It facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the Program is responsible for licensing child care facilities, foster homes, and offering some adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services and provides access to Spanish interpreters.
