The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a variety of services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also providing information on private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. It is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and participation in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination at the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
