The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information, guardianship and commitment assistance, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in helping their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. It is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children develop skills in communication, movement, cognition, feeding, and engaging in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends services to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
