The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program are tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, and shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), helping families support their children's development to achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, feeding, and engaging in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
