The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services for families with infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), aiming to help them achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. It operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in aiding children to enhance their communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and participation in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
