IMMUNIZATIONS: Local health departments provide routine childhood vaccinations through clinics at the health department or special off-site locations. These vaccinations are often low-cost or free for parents in need. Overseas immunizations are available by appointment, and travelers should contact the local health department for specific vaccine requirements. Adult vaccines like Td boosters, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, pneumonia, and influenza may also be accessible. The Immunization Registry is a free, confidential service that keeps track of immunizations for you and your family, ensuring you receive necessary vaccines on time. WIC (WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN) PROGRAM: WIC provides monthly healthy food vouchers, health screenings, nutrition classes, referrals to healthcare providers, individual counseling from registered dietitians, breastfeeding support, recipes, newsletters, and educational materials.
