About this resource
3-B delivers juvenile detention services to surrounding counties such as Bonneville, Bingham, and Butte in Southeast Idaho. Additionally, it partners with other counties to provide secure accommodations for juveniles mandated to be detained. The facility employs clinical staff who conduct assessments for substance abuse and mental health issues, utilizing the Massachusetts Youth Screening Instrument-Second Version (MAYSI-2). Clinicians share findings with juvenile probation officers and collaborate with parents or legal guardians to pinpoint community services. 3-B works alongside Juvenile Probation Officers, Judges, and community partners to aid juvenile offenders in building skills, safeguarding victims of juvenile crime, and ensuring public safety. Languages spoken include English.
