About this resource
CASA/GAL is a program that assigns trained volunteers to serve as advocates for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Our goal is to represent the best interests of these vulnerable children. A Guardian ad Litem (GAL) is a specially trained volunteer appointed by the court to advocate for the welfare of an abused or neglected child. In legal settings, the GAL acts as a crucial voice for the child. Guardians ad Litem are also known as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Languages spoken include English.
