The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates and investigates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers services to meet family requirements. This program assesses and determines the validity of reported child abuse incidents, which may involve evaluating family members and the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the alleged abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and it is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
