About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program assesses and reviews reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it offers suitable services to address family issues. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child, and facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program oversees the licensing of foster homes and offers some adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services and provides services in English, with interpreters available.
