The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program focuses on addressing the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. It provides a variety of services such as evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information, guardianships, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it offers therapeutic services including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program aids children from birth to three years old who exhibit developmental delays, offering therapeutic, educational, and supportive services at no cost to families. This program also facilitates the transition to school services when the child turns three. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program provides services for adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English and provides access to interpreters as needed.
