Living Independently For Everyone (Life), Idaho Falls

LIFE embodies and implements the independent living philosophy by emphasizing consumer control over decision-making, service delivery, management, and policy formulation. It encourages self-help and self-advocacy, fosters peer relationships and role models, and ensures equal access for individuals with disabilities to societal services, programs, activities, resources, and facilities. Additionally, LIFE offers one-month free loans for devices that enhance sound and speech comprehension, such as those for telephones, personal conversations, televisions, and speakers at meetings, with the option to apply for a grant afterward. The organization, LIFE, INC., serves 19 counties in the southeast, providing various resources to help individuals with disabilities maintain or enhance their independence at home, with family, and in their communities.
