About this resource
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), previously known as Food Stamps, assists low-income families in acquiring the food essential for their health. Eligible participants receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, functioning like a debit card at grocery stores. This card draws funds from a designated SNAP account for the family to cover food expenses, which can only be used for qualifying food items. Available languages include English and Spanish.
