About this resource
CASA/GAL is a program where trained volunteers are appointed by the court to advocate for the welfare of children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment. The mission focuses on representing the best interests of these vulnerable children. A Guardian ad Litem (GAL) acts as a crucial voice in court for the child, ensuring their needs are heard. GALs are also known as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Services are available in English.
