About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles and assesses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it offers suitable services to meet the needs of families. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. There is no charge for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services and provides services in English, with interpreters available.
