The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment, evaluating each case thoroughly. When required, it offers suitable services to meet family needs. This program assesses and determines the validity of reported child abuse incidents, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. There is no charge for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, all managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
