This initiative focuses on providing leadership and advocacy for the concerns of older Idahoans. It involves the administration and oversight of both federally and state-funded programs and services that assist elderly individuals in preserving their independence, safety, and dignity. There are also volunteer opportunities available for seniors. **PROGRAMS AND SERVICES:** **Adult Protection** - Investigation of reported cases of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation. **Legal Assistance** - Provided through Idaho Legal Aid. **Family Caregiver Support Program** - Offers assistance, information, respite, support, and additional services. **In-Home Services** - Includes case management, homemaker services, home-delivered meals, caregiver respite, and CHORE services. **Medicare Education** - Aids in understanding Medicare and resolving billing issues. **Nutrition Services** - Provides a directory of senior centers, home-delivered meals, congregate meals, education, and counseling. **Ombudsmen** - Serve as advocates for the elderly in facilities. **Support Services** - Includes information and assistance, outreach, and transportation. **Additional Programs & Services** - Contact for details about support groups, education, exercise, and volunteer opportunities.
