About this resource
The Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and offers necessary services to meet family needs. This program reviews and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and it is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
