The Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and, when needed, offers suitable services to address family requirements. This program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates access to counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, all administered by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
