The Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to meet family requirements. This program investigates and assesses reported instances of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved, with no fees for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services.
