About this resource
The Children and Family Services Program assesses and investigates reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it provides suitable services to meet family requirements. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are offered at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers certain adoption services, managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
