The Cooperative Extension System at the University of Idaho plays a vital role in supporting the agricultural and rural sectors of Idaho by offering various services, programs, and research essential for the state's growth. Among the initiatives provided are: 4-H programs, weed control programs, home economics, the Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), garden and landscape management, youth at risk programs, family resource management, crops and horticulture programs, first aid and safety training focused on small business operations, money management and household budgeting, life skills development, teen tutoring, water quality testing, pesticide applicator training, food preservation, and latch key programs. Services are available in English.
