About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it offers suitable services to meet family needs. This program reviews and assesses reported child abuse incidents, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It also assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English and Spanish.
