This private organization collaborates with individuals with disabilities, their families, neighborhoods, and communities to encourage independence and active participation in society. The Mental Health/Community Support Program offers assistance to children, adolescents, and adults in developing essential skills for school or work, which may encompass grooming, communication, anxiety management, and appropriate behaviors in educational settings. It also provides problem-solving support for daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, grooming, financial and time management, and transportation use. The program includes medication management, monitoring, and education regarding the effects of medication on symptoms. Community crisis support is available to help in emergency situations to ensure safety or to avoid hospitalization. Additional services include outreach, counseling, and pre-assessment assistance. Employment services focus on helping individuals with developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, learning disabilities, mental illnesses, and physical disabilities find and retain jobs. Pre-employment skills training covers job exploration, resume preparation, job application completion, and interview techniques. Services are offered in English and Spanish.
