Idaho Educational Services For Deaf & Blind - State Adminstration

The IESDB delivers a range of educational services for children from birth to 26 years old in Idaho who experience substantial hearing or vision challenges. It runs a preK-12 institution, known as the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind (ISDB), which also features a residential option. Additionally, the IESDB provides access to Certified Specialized Teachers through its Outreach Program. This program assists infants and their families with in-home services and supports school-aged children, educational institutions, and various agencies across the state in fostering student independence through tailored education and accommodations. Vision and hearing consultations and referrals are available for children aged 0-21, with services offered in English, Sign Language, and Spanish. Intake is initiated through a referral from the Local Education Agency (LEA).
