The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program are tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children develop skills in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and participation in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and development of community resources. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English and can arrange for interpreters if needed. For intake, individuals are encouraged to call for an evaluation.
