The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. It operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive abilities, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program supports individuals with developmental disabilities through court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
