The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to aid in the child's growth. It is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children develop communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and active participation in family routines. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which is accessible in English, with interpreters available as needed.
