The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides comprehensive services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists specializing in helping children develop skills in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and active participation in family routines. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which is accessible in English with interpreter services available upon request.
