The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services for families with infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their full potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. It operates through multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive development, nutrition, and active participation in family routines. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and development of community resources. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and can access interpreters as needed.
