The primary goal of a Court Assistance Office (CAO) is to facilitate connections between pro se litigants—those who represent themselves in legal matters—and attorneys. These offices offer a variety of resources, including court forms, document reviews, and legal information to help individuals comprehend their rights and obligations. A complete list of services available at the CAO can be found in the Our Services section, with many materials offered in both English and Spanish. The CAOs operate in various locations with specific hours: St. Maries on the 2nd Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Sandpoint on the 2nd Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Bonners Ferry on Fridays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Coeur d'Alene on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Wallace on the fourth Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
