The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program cater to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, feeding, and engaging in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English with interpreter access available. Intake is initiated by calling for an evaluation and the ACCESS process.
