About this resource

The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides essential services tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also providing information on private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to assist families in fostering their child's development. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which is available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request. Intake is conducted via a phone call, followed by an evaluation and ACCESS process.
