The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program is aimed at delivering early intervention services to assist families in supporting their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth, utilizing multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children develop communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and engagement in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
