The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program are tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, and shares information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services that aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) in achieving their full potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English with interpreter access if needed.
