About this resource
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office campus is located in Coeur d'Alene and features KCSO's main office, jail, recreation safety section, mechanics shop, the Pierce Clegg Work Release Center, and the Office of Emergency Management. This office serves one of Idaho's most picturesque regions, covering over 1,315 square miles that encompass 18 lakes and 54 miles of navigable rivers. Additionally, it includes nearly 250,000 acres of National Forest land and a regional population exceeding 500,000 within a 30-mile radius. Kootenai County is also a popular destination for travelers and has hosted significant events like the Ford Ironman Triathlon and the Western States Governors' Conference.
