About this resource
Established in September 2012, the UGM Center for Women and Children is Kootenai County's first long-term residential recovery facility catering to women with children. Inspired by the success of UGM's Women's Recovery program in Spokane, this center offers a supportive, home-like environment for addressing issues related to abuse, addiction, and homelessness. It operates on Christian principles and provides various resources including food, shelter, and clothing, along with individual and group therapy, life skills training, Bible study, and educational and vocational assistance, within an 18 to 24 month program. Additionally, a medical clinic offers limited short-term emergency support.
