Center On Disabilities And Human Development

The CDHD runs multiple independent grant initiatives and engages in training, services, technical support, research, and information sharing throughout the state and country. To achieve its objectives, the CDHD participates in outstanding activities across five key areas: *Interdisciplinary training and preparation for students and fellows aimed at leadership and direct service roles. *Direct services and demonstration projects that encompass family and individual support, personal assistance services, and infant monitoring. *Community training and technical assistance, integrated into all CDHD initiatives, targeting individuals with developmental disabilities, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. *Research and validation of innovative concepts and effective practices, contributing to new knowledge in the developmental disabilities sector. *Dissemination of information and research outcomes to individuals with developmental disabilities, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. Languages offered include English, with Spanish, Russian, and Gujarati available upon request.
